The Opportunity: This position is within Adobe’s Global Marketing Organization (GMO), specifically in the Growth Marketing and Insights team (GMI). We seek a Lead Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience to develop advanced causal Marketing Mix Models (MMM) crucial for guiding Adobe’s global marketing budget decisions. These models generate insights that drive business growth and must be robust enough for frequent updates in a production environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including analytics, marketing execution, and engineering, is key.
Responsibilities:
Develop descriptive and predictive MMMs to accurately measure marketing and non-marketing drivers’ incremental impact.
Expand modeling solutions to support various geographic locations and product groups.
Integrate additional methodologies and data to ensure precise marketing ROI measurement.
Balance technical capabilities with practical business needs, guiding budget allocation across funnel stages for sustainable business growth.
Effectively communicate model results to partners and executives.
Continuously enhance modeling techniques amidst evolving analytical landscapes.
Collaborate with marketing and analytics leaders to translate business queries into econometric approaches.
Required Qualifications:
MS/PhD in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
7-10 years of experience in developing and operationalizing MMM and marketing analytics solutions.
Strong expertise in MMM, ML algorithms, and connecting model insights with business outcomes.
Experience with experimentation/causal inference methods and deploying models in production.
Proficiency in ML programming languages (Python, R) and data querying (SQL).
Familiarity with cloud platforms for scalable model training and deployment.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to business executives.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Curiosity, passion for learning, and eagerness to adopt new skills and tools.
Compensation: Adobe offers competitive compensation reflecting market conditions across various U.S. geographic locations. The pay range for this role is $142,700 to $257,600 annually, varying by location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Specific salary details will be provided during the hiring process.
