About the Role
The Mapping team at Nuro is at the forefront of unlocking geographic capabilities for autonomous systems through a machine learning-first approach. This team is instrumental in advancing our autonomous driving technology by developing and refining machine learning models that power various aspects of our operations. We are seeking a skilled engineer with a proven track record in building scalable and reliable machine learning infrastructure, coupled with a passion for revolutionizing robot navigation in logistics and transportation.
About the Work
Design, develop, and enhance data and machine learning systems to support autonomous driving technology.
Build and optimize model training infrastructure by leveraging and improving internal frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges, share knowledge, and establish long-term partnerships.
Provide actionable feedback to model training teams, supported by data-driven insights and metrics.
Contribute to the development of high-performance systems through innovative architectural design, algorithmic optimization, and performance tuning.
About You
3+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable backend systems for machine learning model training and evaluation.
Strong understanding of machine learning principles, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and storage solutions.
Proven ability to adapt to evolving technologies, debug complex systems, and deliver production-quality code.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
Compensation and Benefits
At Nuro, your base salary is just one component of your total compensation package. For this role, the expected base pay range is 167,200to167,200to250,800, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. If considered for a different level, the pay range may adjust accordingly. In addition to competitive base pay, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
