Cisco Security is seeking a versatile developer to help build the next-generation platform. With vast amounts of data at our disposal, you’ll develop applications and solutions that empower Cisco and its customers to make data-driven decisions, optimizing day-to-day operations and long-term strategies.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate closely with product management to identify, scope, and estimate work for the team.

• Contribute to proof-of-concepts (POCs) and conduct quantitative and qualitative technology comparisons.

• Join a highly motivated team to design, develop, and maintain platforms for the Security Business Group.

Who You’ll Work With:

• Product and Engineering Management to define short-term milestones and long-term goals.

• DevOps teams to jointly manage infrastructure.

• Security Engineers to ensure compliance with security standards.

Who You Are:

• An agile, pragmatic, and hardworking developer with strong programming skills.

• You take pride in your communication and interpersonal skills, your attention to both design and code quality, and your ability to plan and prioritize tasks autonomously.

• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing software.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as React, Typescript, Golang, and Terraform.

• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.

• Ability to tackle complex problems and translate them into effective solutions.

• Familiarity with tools like Git, Confluence, and Jira.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly and concisely.

Good to Have:

• Experience with public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Spark and Kafka.

Compensation and Benefits (U.S. and Canada):

• Salary Range: The posted range reflects the projected hiring range for full-time roles in U.S. and Canada locations, excluding equity or benefits. Non-sales roles reflect base salary only, while sales roles include base and incentive compensation.
