Program Summary

AI security engineering is the work of defending systems that contain a model. This program builds a practical foundation in that work: how an AI system is threat modelled, how prompt injection, jailbreaks and data exfiltration actually work against a retrieval application, how training and inference pipelines are secured, and how guardrails, evaluation and monitoring keep a deployed model inside the behaviour you promised.

Alongside the technical modules, the program includes hands-on labs and a virtual internship. You will attack a deliberately vulnerable retrieval application, test a model for injection and leakage, build guardrails and an evaluation harness, secure a pipeline end to end, and finish with project work you can show to an employer.

Your Educational Path

Attack a deliberately vulnerable RAG application with prompt injection and indirect injection through its own documents, then prove which mitigations actually hold.

Test a model and its retrieval layer for data exfiltration and membership inference, and show what an attacker can recover that nobody intended to expose.

Build input and output guardrails, then red team your own defence so the report says what was tried and what got through.

Frequently Asked Questions

What career opportunities does this course provide?

AI Security Engineer, AI Red Team Engineer and ML Security Engineer roles at employers such as Accenture, Deloitte and AXIS Capital.

How does this differ from the Cybersecurity program?

That one secures networks, applications and pipelines. This one secures the model itself: injection, leakage, guardrails and adversarial testing.

Is this an industry certification?

No. You receive a Refonte Learning certificate of completion. It is not the CAISP or any vendor credential.

Is this course suitable for beginners?

It suits learners with some security, Python or machine learning grounding. No red team background is needed.

Can I take this course while working full-time?

Yes. It requires 10-12 hours per week and sessions are recorded.
