Program Summary
Graphics engineering is the discipline of producing images on a GPU correctly and fast. This program builds a practical foundation in that work: how the rasterisation pipeline actually executes, how shaders are written and debugged, how lighting and shading models are derived and approximated, how GPU work is scheduled and measured, and how a frame is profiled and optimised against a hard budget.
Alongside the technical modules, the program includes hands-on labs and a virtual internship. You will implement a small renderer, write vertex and fragment shaders, build a lighting model, profile GPU frame time and optimise it, and finish with project work you can show to an employer.

With over a decade of experience in the tech industry, Oskar Eriksson is a seasoned Software Engineer.
Your Educational Path
Implement a small renderer so the pipeline stops being a black box, then map every stage onto what the GPU is really doing.
Write shaders and build a physically based lighting model, understanding the approximations rather than copying a formula.
Profile GPU frame time, find whether you are bound by fill rate, bandwidth or draw calls, and optimise the thing that actually costs.
