Program Summary

Industrial automation engineering is the discipline that makes production lines run without a person holding them together. This program builds a practical foundation in that work: how a PLC is programmed and structured, how sensors and actuators are wired into a control loop, how HMIs present a process, and how industrial networks carry it all without compromising safety.

Alongside the technical modules, the program includes hands-on labs and a virtual internship. You will program a PLC against a simulated process, tune a control loop, build an HMI screen, connect the line upward over OPC UA, and finish with project work you can show to an employer.

Your Educational Path

Write structured PLC logic against a simulated production process, not a toy example, and prove it behaves when an operator does something unexpected.

Tune a PID loop against a simulated plant and show it stays stable under disturbance rather than only in the happy case.

Expose process data over OPC UA and Modbus to the systems above the line, without opening the control network to everything.
