Launch Your Career in Embedded Systems Engineering

Embedded work is where software meets a real board with real deadlines. This program teaches you to bring up hardware, write drivers, run an RTOS and debug what a print statement cannot reach.

Program Summary

Embedded systems engineering is the discipline of making software work on constrained hardware with real-time obligations. This program builds a practical foundation in that work: how a board is brought up, how peripherals are driven over I2C, SPI and UART, how a real-time operating system schedules tasks, and how timing, memory and power constrain every decision you make.

Alongside the technical modules, the program includes hands-on labs and a virtual internship. You will bring up a target, write and test drivers, schedule tasks under an RTOS, debug with a logic analyser and a debugger, and finish with project work you can show to an employer.

Your Educational Path

Take a target from a blank flash to a working peripheral, writing and testing the I2C and SPI drivers yourself rather than pasting a vendor sample.

Run concurrent tasks under an RTOS with priorities and interrupts, then prove your timing actually holds under load.

Use a debugger, a logic analyser and trace to find a fault that no amount of printf would have found.
